The transformation of drive technology continues despite complex boundary conditions. In light of global climate targets, geopolitical tensions, and volatile supply chains, industry and academia face the challenge of developing energy-efficient, economically viable, and sustainable mobility solutions. Digitalization, AI, and innovative technologies are fundamentally changing the development, production, and integration of drive systems. Sustainability in this context encompasses materials, processes, supply chains, and social responsibility. DRITEV 2026 addresses these trends and, as an interdisciplinary platform, offers insights into the entire drivetrain chain—from conventional drive technology to electric motors, inverters, batteries, and fuel cells, as well as charging systems.
International Meeting of the Powertrain Community
The automotive congress Dritev (DRIvetrain Transmission Electrification Vehicles) offers the powertrain community an optimal platform for exchange. Every year, decision-makers, experts, and industry leaders from around the world meet in Baden-Baden. Here, vehicle manufacturers and suppliers exchange ideas and early capture innovations, developments, and challenges in drive technology. During the two-day congress, experts from OEMs, suppliers, and universities present practical lectures on new trends as well as classical topics in drive technology. This year, the community will meet again on June 30th and July 1st in Baden-Baden to discuss the latest developments, innovations, and perspectives of various concepts in the field of powertrain and transmissions.
Participants can also join the VDI Conference “Powertrain Systems in Mobile Machinery 2026,” running in parallel to the DRITEV. The conference focuses on innovative drivetrain solutions – including conventional, battery, fuel cell, and hybrid systems – as well as their role in sustainable, digitalized, and automated mobile machinery.
