Important dates for authors
We would like to remind all authors of the important dates below.
- Deadline for submission of abstracts: November 22nd, 2024
- Notification of acceptance/rejection: February 2025
- Final program available: May 2025
- Conference proceedings
- deadline for submission of manuscripts: June 6th, 2025 - Deadline for submission of manuscripts
for a voluntary peer review and publication in the
journal “Engineering Research”: March 21st, 2025
Based on the abstract, the program committee will decide on acceptance and on the order of presentations in the conference program.
Publication of accepted abstracts (oral presentation and poster presentation):
If your contribution (presentation or poster) is accepted, you will need to prepare a manuscript for the conference proceedings. The manuscript should summarize the key points of your submission and will be included in our conference publication. The proceedings will be published as an eBook (VDI-Bericht) with an ISBN.
Authors opting for peer review:If your full paper meets all the requirements for publication in a scientific journal, you can voluntarily submit it to the Springer-Nature Journal “Engineering Research” (Q2, http://www.springer.com/journal/10010). The paper is then reviewed by international experts and, if successful, invited for publication within the collection “Best of Gears 2025”. The publication must be open-access. In the event of rejection by the reviewers, the paper will be included conference proceedings eBook (VDI-Bericht). Participation in the peer review process is voluntary. If the authors wish to submit their full paper to the journal “Engineering Research”, this must be indicated in the abstract.
