Added value through ideas at the Dritev

(Duesseldorf, 06/03/2018) Interactive, creative and innovative - the VDI transmission congress Dritev will be presenting further highlights in Bonn from June 27-28, alongside the demanding technical program, such as the new Dritev Lab, Round Tables and nominees of the ZF-Pitch event.
Not only the name of the VDI transmission congress is new in 2018: Dritev ("DRIvetrain Transmission Electrification in Vehicles") comes up with completely new interactive program points. The Dritev Lab, the Round Tables or the nominees of the ZF-Pitch Event provide more ideas and exchanges of concepts as well as an even deeper insight into the transmission components. The technical program remains the centerpiece of the event with around 80 expert lectures. Another attraction is the trade exhibition with around 100 international exhibitors.
Participants in the new Dritev Lab can experience the transmission world "hands on". Congress attendees can study individually displayed gear parts, get an overview of the interaction of the various components, or compare design and workmanship.
The following gearboxes disassembled into modules are shown:
- Opel 6-speed MT „M1X“
- Ford FWD 6 Speed Planetary Automatic Transmission
- Jatco CVT 8 High Torque
- Ford FWD Hybrid Transmission
The new Round Tables of Dritev invite you to discuss and network. All participants can exchange ideas and opinions, get an idea of current positions and get in contact with international experts.
The open questions of the Round Tables are:
- E-drives in the next decade: To what extent can electric mobility be scaled up by 2030?
- The internal combustion engine - only momentary sensor? What is its future?
- E-machines: What are the potentials in new materials and manufacturing processes?
- High-voltage on-board electrical system: What is the right voltage level, where are the limits?
- Power semiconductors: When is the right time to switch from silicon to silicon carbide?
- Change in mindsetting: How should drive development be tackled in the future?
Innovative start-ups or professorships can apply with their concepts around electromobility for the ZF-Pitch Event "Electric Innovation Challenge" in the run-up to the congress. Promising participants of the challenge, who do not qualify for the final round, will have the chance to present themselves at the Dritev 2018 specialist exhibition.
More than 100 national and international companies present innovative solutions at the accompanying trade exhibition. The exhibition has become the central marketplace of the industry. Here, participants will get an overview of the most important suppliers in the development, simulation and production of transmissions and transmission components.
The two parallel conferences „Transmissions in Mobile Maschines“ and „EDrive“ also make the "Dritev" a meeting place for adjacent industries. Other highlights include the workshop on „Couplings for electrified and hybrid drive system solutions“.
Date and venue:
27 - 28 June 2018
World Conference Center Bonn (WCCB)
The event will be simultaneously translated into English.
